Hello Evergreen Families

Happy New Year to all of you and welcome back. We started this year with a few more activities for morning work and circle time. The mystery question has evolved and more challenging as well. It is a mystery shape that the student “read” the shape, decide their response and place name below their choice. When more support is needed there are manipulatives on the table for help.

We also introduced a linear calendar which help the children use the number line to learn time and number concepts. We count the days of the month and discuss past and upcoming events. So far both new activities are challenging and welcomed.

There are written plans your child has worked on in the parent files! Please take a look at the progress they are making. Names are being written, more detailed drawings depicting their plan and some are also “writing lines”.
