Good afternoon Garden and Mountain families,

This week the children learned about colors.  The children sang “Icky Sticky Bubblegum,” “ABC’s” and “The Ants Go Marching.”  During small circle the children listened to Little Blue Truck, Red Light, Green Light, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, and Little Owl’s Colors..  

For large motor activities this week, the children practiced reaching up high and then touching their toes. They also rolled balls at bowling pins and explored push toys.

This week for music the children played drums and sang “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” while sitting on a seesaw. We also had a special performance by Beth Epley this week.

The children participated in many art activities this week. The children finger painted with metallic colors on different colors of paper, to create a beautiful rainbow. The children mixed different colors of paint on folded pieces of paper to create butterflies. In addition to art, the children explored sand in the sensory table and played with shape sorters.
