Hello Evergreen Families

What a great December! The students began talking about holidays that they celebrate at this time and are now so excited to do the celebrating. We have read so many books about Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. The most excitement is coming from family and friends beginning to come to visit.

With the talk about family visiting or students getting excited about taking their own trip to see family and friends, we created a train station which they have used and thoroughly enjoyed. While talking about transportation, the children learned about engineers and explored gears.

As a class, we continue discussing emotions with the guidance of Stanford Harmony. This week it was talking about Remembering Friends. They talked about how they have become better friends since the beginning of the year.
