Dear River Families,

We hope you enjoy the gifts from your child! They worked for the last few weeks to write, revise, and publish their books for you!

We had a lovely school-wide event with all the children at Treehouse for a jolly sing-along!  The River students had wrapped gifts, wrote cards and then presented gifts to all the other classrooms at Treehouse. It was a fun morning!  Ms. Amelia joined us for a few songs too.  Ugly Sweater Contest – Charlotte was first place, Lauren came in second.  

The children all were able to deliver a present to one other classroom, it was a great community event!

We worked this week on new sight words, writing numbers, and introduced digraphs. We learned a digraph chant for ch, sh, qu, ph, th, and wh. We came up with a ton of words that have these sounds at the beginning or end of words! Then we finished off our unit on shapes and geometric shapes in Math.

Kindergarten is on academic break until January 6, 2020.  We will not have any shares until 1/13. I will send out the rest of the year’s share descriptions and schedules in the new year.
