Hello Evergreen families,

We had a wonderful busy week in our classroom! 

This week- The children continued to learn about dinosaurs, paleontology and began the subject of erosion.

We learned that erosion:

• happens when rocks are picked up and moved to another place by ice, water, wind, or gravity.
• depending on the type of force, erosion can happen quickly or take thousands of years.

We have also been learning about measurement and how to use different measuring tools. For example, the children took a block and measured how many blocks long a table was as well as measuring one another. Throughout the week we observed them using unifix cubes to measure their hands, shoes, and more. During morning work time we continue to “plan” with pictures and writing lines. Their drawings are becoming more detailed and messages are longer.

Next week – We will read, act  out, and make dramatic play props on the topic of Fairy Tales!
