Good afternoon Dogwood families,

This week Dogwood and Cedar’s lesson plans centered around senses!

The children explored touch with boxes filled with different sensory materials (cotton balls, rough felt, feathers, fake fur).

The children explored smell when they smelled scented candles, scent tubes and smelled the flowers outside.

The children explored sight when they made binoculars and used to explore the playground.

The children explored listening, when they made and decorated their own rain sticks.

The children worked on their large motor skills when they practiced yoga, threw bean bags and did the hokey pokey.

During music with Ms. Kathleen the children used the drum, the jingle bells and the shaky eggs. We also had a visit from Beth Epley this week.

Happy birthday to Delia, who turned two this week!
