Good afternoon Garden and Mountain families,

This week was another experimentation summer week.  The children experimented with different cups and scoops in the water table outside.  The children also observed different forms of life this week.  The playground hosted rabbits, spiders, bees, and a dragonfly this week.

During small circle, the children read some of their favorite books.  They read The Babies and Doggies Book and Llama Llama Hoppity Hop, among others.  The children sang lots of number songs this week including “Five Green Speckled Frogs,” and “Five Little Ducks.” 

Our music teacher, Ms. Kathleen, brought shaker eggs, scarves, and insect animal sounds for the children.  The children showed her the large animals in the classroom so she sang “Tiny Tim,” which is about a turtle.
