Nicole has given her notice to leave Treehouse – tomorrow will be her last day here. She is taking a leave-of-absence to move back to Boston for family reasons. I would love to see her come back, but at this point it is unclear. Nicole has been a big asset to Treehouse, and she will certainly be missed.
Purchasing Supplies -Certain items like Sunscreen, laminating film, fish filters, laundry soap, ear covers, etc are only ordered as needed. Everyone is responsible for alerting the admin when we are running LOW so we can order in advance. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WE ARE COMPLETELY OUT.
Regular paper goods (paper towels, tpaper, kleenex, etc) are ordered on a regular schedule, twice per month. Art consumables (construction paper, crayons, paint, glue, etc) are ordered as needed once per month. It is not necessary to write these items on the white board
Time off requests…if you are requesting time off for the holidays, please remember these days are not granted on a first come basis…other factors are taken into account, such as how many other days you have asked off, if you had the days off last year, and the number of teachers in your environment. We can discuss this more at our next staff meeting.
Also, our Open Enrollment Period for insurance is coming up in November. If you are currently on our insurance you can make a change, or if you have declined coverage this is the time you can join. We will be staying with our current carrier – Anthem/BCBS, however premiums have gone up of course. We will once again offer 3 different health plans – all will be HSA plans, two will be HMO’s and one plan is a co-pay plan. We have two different dental plans and VSP vision also. If you are eligible, Chelsea will have more information for you by the end of next week…Our insurance broker – Kevin Cruz – will be here at Treehouse on October 12th from 4-6 pm. Please make a note of this and plan to meet with him to get your questions answered first hand! You will need to make your selection by November 1st.
