Good afternoon Dogwood families,

This week Dogwood learned about Stone Soup. 

During small circle, the children sang “Make New Friends”, “The More We Get Together”, and “You Are MY Sunshine”.  The children listened to books: Some Friends to Feed, The Peace Book, and Llama Llama Time to Share.

Practical life skills were used when the children practiced cleaning up their work and taking off their shoes.  And the children worked on their large motor skills by throwing leaves in the air, playing catch with balls and bear crawling on the ground.

During art, this week the children painted with gold water colors while listening to classical music. They also made bingo dabber art.  The children explored with different textured fabrics in the sensory table, and with finger paint when they made hand turkeys.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children sang along to “Over the River and Through the Woods” and listened to animal sounds.
