Dear Dogwood  families,

This week Dogwood and Cedar learned about Our Amazing Body and Winter Animals.  During small circle, the children sang “Sleeping Bunny”, “I Like to Eat Apples and Bananas” and “Head Shoulder, Knee and Toes”.

The children listened to stories including: Bear Snores On, My Body, Animal Winter, Who is Hiding in the Snow? and The Bear Went Over Mountain.

The children worked on their large motor skills by walking and up and down the loft stairs, jumping using both feet and practicing throwing beans bag into a basket.  During art, the children painted with brushes and rollers (mostly on paper!), and practiced making marks with crayons.  The children explored with snow in the sensory table and gluing stickers in the art work.
