Health and Nutrition – We discussed many ways to keep our bodies healthy through the foods we eat, exercise, drinking water, getting good sleep and visits to the doctor and dentist. The children really enjoyed sharing what they know.

Ms. Mary, our chef, prepares delicious healthy items that help expose children to foods. It’s wonderful to see the healthy eating habits at school and hear about what they eat at home to build a great foundation in making healthy choices!

Science – With our windy weather on Monday, we had a great opportunity to discuss the the properties of air: it has mass, it takes up space, it can move, it exerts pressure, and it can do work. We made windsocks with colorful streamers and paraded through our playground. The children had a blast watching their windsocks blow in the wind!

Music – The children are learning how to echo a beat using musical instruments like the maracas, tambourine, drum, triangle and symbols.

A peek into next week – St. Patrick’s day fun!

Donations – Our classroom is still in need of recycled plastic grocery bags. Thank you!

Have a great weekend!
