Good afternoon Garden and Mountain families,

This week our theme was zoo animals.  During circle we sang “Five Little Monkeys Swinging in the Tree” and “We’re Going to the Zoo.”  The children also watched and listened to the rain while singing “Rain, Rain Go Away.”  The children listened to Dear Zoo, Peek Inside the Zoo, and We’re Going to the Zoo.      

For large motor activities this week, the children climbed on mats and worked with push toys.  The children also practiced their downward dog and happy baby yoga poses.  They were introduced to child’s pose and the cobra pose.

For art this week the children explored with finger paint and used play dough.  The children also explored soapy water and sand in the sensory table.

In music class with Ms. Kathleen, the children listened to The Three Little Kittens. They also listened to cat sounds and looked at pictures of cats as well as kittens.  They continued their exploration of bells and danced with scarves.

This week we welcomed Camden to the Garden room! 

We also want to introduce our newest Treehouse Teacher, Ms. Theresa Mudgette.  Theresa has several years of experience working with children, she is Infant Nursery Supervisor certified and she is happy to be in our infant program.  Welcome Ms. Theresa!
