Hello Aspen Families!
This week in Aspen we continued our look at nature by focusing on weather. At circle we talked about what the children thought weather was by describing sunny, rainy, snowy, or windy. The children enjoyed talking about wind the most. The children blew bubbles in soapy water and using our breath at different forces to make various objects blow off the table. They loved it! During circle we read Little Tiger Picks Up, Little Monkey Calms Down, Hippo Says Excuse Me, Penguin Says Please, and Bear Says Thank You.
The children continued to play in the water table with various activities and water toys while outside. They also painted with water, washed bikes, and used spray bottles. In the sensory table the children worked with kinetic sand and floam.
In music, the children used shaker eggs, danced with scarves, sang various songs, and did movement/jumping songs. In Spanish this week the children continued learning summer vocabulary, counting, and vowels.
Next week we start experiments! We will start by focusing on color mixing experiments and activities. Have a wonderful weekend!
