Hello Cedar families,

This week in the Cedar and Dogwood classes we learned about living things. We talked about the weather outside and smelled the mint growing in our garden. The children were very excited to paint outside on the easel with leaves from the trees. We practiced sweeping the sand up outside with the big broom. In our small group lessons this week we talked about our tomato plants flowers and when we will start seeing tomatoes.

During circle time this week we read: Let It Grow, Down by the Station, and  The Itsy Bitsy Spider. The children continued building their practical life skills this week by stacking blocks and helping deliver blankets to classmates at nap time. This week in art the children painted with bingo dabbers and paint brushes.

In music this week Ms. Kathleen brought the shaker eggs and we shook them to a fast song with a door bell sound.  The children also enjoyed dancing and singing to “The Hokey Pokey” and “Sleeping Bunnies.”

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the weather.

Ms. Jessica, Ms. Maria, Ms. Delanie, Ms. Jamie and Ms. Spenser
