Hello Garden and Mountain families,

We had another great week in the infant room!

At circle time the children listened to the books Do Your Ears Hang Low?, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and Spunky Little Monkey. The children also listened to the songs “Sleeping Bunnies,” “Hello Everybody,” and “If All the Sunbeams.”

For art this week the children worked together to create a mural using orange, yellow, and green paint with rollers and sponges. They also used chalk to color on the sidewalk.

For sensory activities this week the children continued to explore the water table and pouring cups outside. They also explored sand in the sensory table. Here is an article from NAEYC, that explains how simple activities like water and sand play can help learning in a variety of domains:

Ms. Kathleen was away again this week but the children still spent plenty of time exploring music. The children spent a lot of time singing and signing along to finger-play songs.

We have had a few new children join our class recently. We welcomed Remington and Alice last week and this week we welcomed Jack M!
