Hello Aspen Families!

This week in Aspen we continued imaginative play! We read Where the Wild Things Are and the children discussed the possibility of jungles growing in their bedrooms, what a wild rumpus might be, and what they thought about Max’s trip. The children also had their own Wild Rumpus dance party where they acted like different animals and monsters. This week the children also continued working on their life size monsters as well as monster math and patterns. In literacy this week the children took a closer look at the letters /w/ and /t/ by tracing sand paper letters and practice the letter sounds.

This week in music the children sang jumping songs, played shaker eggs, and practiced call and repeat patterns.
