Hello Cedar Families,

We hope you all had a wonderful Monday off and a nice short week. Even in our short time we still did so much! This week was all about “My World, My Family.” In Cedar we started painting a new tree where our family photos are going to go. This tree will change with the seasons. In Dogwood we also made our family tree and had lots of fun making an art wall for families to see.

Both classes have been reading a lot of books about our families, such as Llama Llama Gram and Gramps and Mummy’s Hugs.  We also talked about our families.

If you haven’t sent in a family photo yet, please do so, and feel free to update old photos too. You can also email a photo and we will print it!

Next week we are going to focus on “Healthy Choices,” specifically regarding food. Feel free to carry this theme at home and practice vocabulary such as “fruits,” “vegetables,” and “healthy.” Meals are a great time to talk about food and family.

We are going to try to write down one song per week that we will be singing with your children so you can sing it at home too if you want. If your child is asking for a song that you don’t know, please ask one of their teachers and we will happily write the lyrics down for you.
