Hello Evergreen Families,
We had an exciting week in our classroom! We learned about things we have in common with our classmates and also how we are different. The students enjoyed sharing information about themselves and learned a few new like or dislikes too.
This week’s focus- what is in our world, meaning our classroom and our families extending to what is in our neighborhood. Many students shared that they live near classmates.
- We discussed what is in the neighborhood such as schools and parks.
- Students talked about what is different in Evergreen such as the room being bigger, new classmates, and being able to clean cots for laundry day.
- The children are learning about Z who doesn’t know how to play yet.
- Math lessons on shapes, naming a shape, and counting the sides of those shapes.
Next week:
- We continue to answer a new mystery question.
- At planning time we will begin introducing drawing of a picture to depict their “plan.”
- Graphics writing so that pencil grip is shown and the initial steps to writing letters.
- Continue our investigation of shapes.
Thank you,
Ms Kristine, Ms. Brenda, Ms April
