Hello Evergreen Families,
The students had another warm and exciting week in Evergreen. Some of them helped harvest the last of the vegetable garden. There were very large zucchinis found and then used in our lunches throughout the week!
Students have become very familiar with the routine in the class and are playing well together as new friendships are being formed. With the help of Z (Sanford Harmony) and teachers, students are learning the words to use for expressing their feelings and wants. This week we specifically read books that had the theme of diversity and discussing how we are the same or different in likes and traditions as well.
This week we also:
- Introduced drawing a picture to express the classes intentional message of the day. This helps and provides examples of doing your best at drawing
- Graphics practice to develop proper pencil grip and beginning of writing
- Introduced the letter Tt with its name, sound and graphic of lower and upper case
- Shapes and finding them in our environment
Next week we will discuss weather/season changes. Specifically, how we dress differently as the changes around us happen. We will also discuss how animals prepare for weather changes as well.
Thank You
Ms. Kristine, Ms. Brenda, Ms. April
