Hello Evergreen Families,
What a great start to December, snow and all! The students began talking about Holidays that they celebrate at this time. We also read books about Hanukkah while students shared their experiences and traditions. Other students talked about Christmas and having family coming to visit. Next week we will continue talking about different celebrations such as Santa Lucia Day that takes place December 13th.
With the talk about family visiting or students getting excited about taking their own trip to see family and friends, we created a train station. The students can choose roles of passenger, engineer and conductor with props that help them pretend play.
As a class, we continue discussing emotions with the guidance of Stanford Harmony. This week the students learned more about inclusive play; how you can make someone feel great when they are included in play or an activity.
