Hello Garden and Mountain Families,

Happy new year! We had a short but fun filled week in the infant rooms.

We started the week with snow! This allowed the children lots of opportunities for indoor gross motor activities. The children enjoyed throwing bean bags into buckets, and playing with tennis balls and Velcro mitts. When it warmed on Thursday, the children went for a stroller ride to look at the snow-covered scenery. Then finally on Friday, the children put on their snow suits and boots and explored the snow on the playground.

For art this week the children finger painted evergreen trees.

During music with Ms. Kathleen the children explored with shaker eggs. The children enjoyed shaking, tapping, and rolling the eggs. The children also sang “ba ba” into a microphone. Lastly Ms. Kathleen sang to the children about their body parts and facial features.

Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Eileen, and Ms. Jessica
