Hello Birch Families,

We had another awesome week in class! At the beginning of this week celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday! We read Inside Your Outside, Oh, the Pets You Can Get, and I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!  These are just three of his great books!

This week we also wrapped up learning about Africa and we introduced a new animal to the children called an okapi which is closely related to the giraffe. They love saying “okapi” and waving goodbye to the picture of it when they walk out of the classroom! 

On Wednesday, the weather was nice enough for us to go out on a nature walk! The children enjoyed stomping through the snow and watching the geese fly. 

In music this week, Ms. Kathleen brought a ladder to put her bells on and was showing us how the sounds go from high to low as she’s plays the bells up and down the ladder. 

Next week we will turn our focus to spring!
