Dear River Families,

This week in River we continued studying Africa, and African animals. The children have been watching short videos on the animals they will be for spring performance and continued practicing their poems. Your child’s poem and script are in your parent file! Each child made a drum this week. These drums will be used during the spring performance.

Last week we reached our reading goal, and I am excited to make a donation on behalf of the River class to the Wolf Sanctuary in Colorado Springs. We were so excited to see how much the children worked to reach the goal!

In art Ms. Emily worked with the children on designing their headdresses for their spring performance costumes. In Junior Great Books, we continued our study on ‘The Frog Prince.’ In math this week we worked with number bonds 10-20, and on Friday we explored St. Patrick’s Day by reading poems and a leprechaun story, as well as working on a St. Patrick’s Day word search.
