Hello Dogwood Families,

This week we have been talking more about the rain forest and what it would be like to visit! The children have been very enthusiastic about painting and drawing with crayons! They also enjoyed reading books such as One, Two, Skip a Few and Rain Forest. The children’s favorite book this week was The Umbrella, which is full of colors and animals.

In art, the children enjoyed painting animals and making water features! For practical life, the children have been working on sorting and counting items along with stacking cups.

The children’s favorite song this week was “Rain, Rain Go Away.” We also sang finger plays such as “Itsy, Bitsy Spider” and “Six Little Ducks.” The children have really been enjoying their time outside especially in the snow!

Next week we will be talking about taking care of our earth. You can practice at home by discussing nature and recycling.
