One more week in June, can you believe it?

What a fun packed week in Aspen! The children explored with water play when the weather was warm enough outside and ran all around chasing bubbles. We are crossing our fingers for less thunderstorms next week so we can spend more time outside on the preschool playground in the afternoon.

In the classroom we have continued our fairy tale theme by discussing our dreams and reading books where characters also dream. Aspen class discussed whether dreams are real or make believe depending on what happens in them. The children really enjoyed this topic and we encourage parents to continue the discussion at home!

Looking ahead, next week is our last week focusing on fairy tales. We will be wrapping up the theme by building our own classroom castle out of cardboard. It will be placed in the dramatic play area to further encourage the children to use their imagination as they role play and act out different scenarios.

July’s theme is going to be science! We are excited to explore this topic with your children as we focus in on science experiments and exploring a variety of different reaction activities.
