Dear Evergreen Families,
This week in the classroom the children have enjoyed decorating pumpkins and reading books about pumpkins. The teachers introduced new activities like Legos and large floor puzzles since we had very limited outside time this week. The children have been doing yoga in large group and enjoying dancing as well.
In small groups they have been playing Halloween Bingo. The children have also been practicing putting on snow gear independently in these steps.
- Snow pants
- Snow boots
- Coat
- Winter hat
- Waterproof gloves or mittens
The children are encouraged to do this on their own, but the teachers remain present to provide assistance or correction. There are also photos for children to look at to keep themselves on track.
Lastly the children have been practicing yoga. There are a couple of books available with yoga poses as well as pictures posted on the wall. The children are able to get a rug and practice in a group or by themselves. It’s become a helpful tool in the classroom.
