Dear Dogwood families,

This week in Cedar and Dogwood we focused on manners. We read Penguin Says Please and Lion Shares. Our favorite book this week was Mason and Buddy which is a finger puppet book about a boy and his cat who get a fish as a new friend. 

This week the children enjoyed playing with ice, snow, and dried leaves. We also enjoyed playing with bubbles again and helping clean materials. We practiced using tweezers and sorting colors. 

The children enjoyed practicing downward dog during yoga.  The children also danced to “Animal Actions” and practiced crawling. 

Our song of the week was “Please and Thank You.”  The song is sung to the tune of  “Frere Jacques.”  The lyrics are “Please and thank you, Please and thank you, Sounds so nice, Sounds so nice, Manners are important, Manners are important, Be Polite, Be Polite.” We also enjoyed singing “Mr. Sun.”
