Hello Evergreen Families,

This week in the classroom we have been practicing the songs the children will be performing for the Light and Love celebration. 

Next week is a short week therefore we will continue prop making for our bakery department and it will be open for the following week.

In small groups the teachers have been reading Some Friends to Feed, which is the Stone Soup book. Another small group activity this week was turkey coloring by number. The children had to follow a key, each number was a certain color. The challenge was figuring out which color went on which part of the turkey. The last small group activity was attribute sorting. For this activity the children had to look at all of the shapes presented to them. The shapes were a different size and color. The children were asked to sort either by shape, color or size. 

Friday, the children made peacock art with Ms. Melissa. They also helped make banana bread as a special cooking activity.
