Dear Birch Families,

This week in Birch we have been talking about our bodies! At circle time we clapped our hands (manos), stomped our feet (pies) and shook our heads (cabeza).

The children definitely enjoyed the new bowl of salad in our dramatic play area.  This activity has tongs to serve the salad which helps the children strengthen their fine motor skills.

The children have also been doing lots of cleaning!  This week they washed dishes, babies and windows! Check out the pictures!

For art this week the children painted with finger paint and used chalk at the easel. They have been very patient waiting for their turn at the easel.

During music with Ms. Amelia the children have been singing the Spanish song “Los pollitos dicen pío pío pío.” She also had the children dancing while she played her ukulele to the tune of  “Follow the Drinking Gourd.”
