Dear Birch Families,

This week we read Who has these feet?  by Laura Hulbert. We realized animals feet can be so different! We also read “Marina” by Emilio Urberuaga and learned that whales also breastfeed, like human babies.

This week the children’s favorite activity was the parachute! They loved shaking it, throwing a stuffed animal up in the air, and taking turns hiding underneath it.

We were also very happy to attend Meet the Instruments, where the visiting musicians showed us many different instruments like the saxophone.  They played many of the children’s favorites songs like “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and “Mary had a Little Lamb.” We also visited the library and sang “The Bumblebee Song.”

Ms. Amelia brought Mr. Bananas again during music class and the children enjoyed choosing and copying Mr. Bananas’ movements.

Have a great weekend!

Ms. Lorena, Ms. Abbi, and Ms. Daisy
