Dear Birch families,

This week we made more bugs! The children made a snail with tissue paper and plates. We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar during circle time and then pretended to be a caterpillar by crawling on our bellies. Later, the children flapped their arms like a butterfly. We sang the bug friendly version of “Baby Bumblebee.” The children had a blast finding different bugs on the playground. We have seen a lot of butterflies, bees, and -rolypolies. It is really sweet to see the children be so gentle with the bugs. We danced our sillies out with “Freeze Dance” and stomped our feet with “We are the Dinosaurs.”

We hope everybody has a fun and safe 4th of July. See you all next week!
