Dear Forest families,
This week was SO much fun! We had drama/theater camp all week. We started the week learning what drama is; from the set and prop making, to the plot and story line, to character development, and finally to becoming REAL actors/actresses and stage hands. Throughout the week, the children designed their entire costumes and created the entire set for each of their plays. Half of the class worked on Where the Wild Things Are, while the other half worked on The Cat and the Hat. It was so amazing to watch their creative abilities truly shine this week.
We also explored the fun side of improvisation games, such as charades and other games of the like; this helped everyone to step out of their comfort zones. At the end of the week, we put on both of the plays for the class; we recorded both of the plays for you to enjoy. It was really a fun week at drama camp!
Next week, we are starting STEM and engineering; it will be a very busy week of creating and building. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
