Dear Cedar families,
This week in the Cedar and Dogwood classrooms we began our lessons on the fall season. Children learned all about how trees transform, and what colors the leaves change. Our sensory activities included crunching leaves outside and playing with leaves in the classroom that we’ve made out of tissue paper.
Outside, the children enjoyed digging in the sandbox as well as pushing cars across the playground. They especially enjoyed coloring the bricks and making pictures on the sidewalk with sidewalk chalk.
One of the books the children can’t get enough of this week is The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton. We also continued working on our rhythm skills to songs like “Rockin Robin” sang by Nancy Cassidy.
We hope everyone enjoys the beginning of the fall colors this weekend!
