Good afternoon aspen families!

This week in art the children worked with sponge stampers and using paint, they dipped the sponges in and made a fun summer picture! On Thursday and Friday they worked on a rainbow art project. They glued arches made with black construction paper onto white paper and they made the colors of the rainbow by gluing different colored pieces of construction paper onto the arches! They really enjoyed working with all the colors of the rainbow!!

In Spanish, Ms. Susan reviewed basics of what the children have been learning throughout the past year.

Our high scope activity this week was called “button pizza” the kids made pizza with play dough and counted out how many buttons they wanted on their pizza. They then compared if it was more or less than the number of buttons on their friends pizza.

We talked a lot about sorting colors and shapes this week and introduced two new activities that worked on sorting!

Next week we will talk about the concept of higher and lower.

Happy birthday to our friend Miles who turned three this week!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Natalie and Ms. Megan
