Valentine’s Day – Tuesday, February 14th
Valentine’s Day at Treehouse is centered around love and friendship. The teachers have been reading books, playing games and singing songs about love. Many of the preschool and kindergartners have been making valentine cards all month to share with friends and family. However, we ask that parents do not bring in treats or other items on this day. Everyone is invited to participate by wearing pajamas and bringing in a favorite lovey for the day.
Instrument Petting Zoo – February 14 and 21
Each year, Ms. Kathleen works with the Rocky Mountain School of the Arts to secure a few professional musicians to come in to Treehouse to present different instrument families. The musicians not only give the children a mini concert, but each child is able to handle and play several different types of instruments. This early exposure to classical music and the wonder of instruments gives the child an appreciation for the art of making music. Hopefully, many of our students will continue to pursue music as they grow. This year, brass instruments will be presented on February 14th and string families will be presented on February 21st.
