Good afternoon Garden and Mountain families,

This week the children got ready for summer!  The children read At the Park, Dear Zoo, and Splash.  The children sang songs such as “Baby Bumblebee,” “Mr. Sun,” “Five Green Speckled Frogs,” and “If All of the Raindrops.”  The older infants practiced putting toys back in containers and moving them to the shelves to help clean up the classroom. 

The children explored their sense of touch while finger painting and using sidewalk chalk.  The children were also given the opportunity to explore a sticky ball of tape. 

The children explored a new activity table outside that is shaped like a tree.  The table has mazes to move objects around and some spinning gears to work on fine motor skills.  The children worked on their gross motor skills while rocking on the red seesaw, climbing the climber, and practicing walking up the ramp to the loft.
