Good Afternoon Forest Families!

This week in Forest the children continued to experiment with water. They separated mixtures like oil, sand, and salt from water. The class also made a magnetic water jar. During an experiment using static electricity the children could become a snake charmer by rubbing a wool ball onto a ruler then sticking it to a tissue paper snake. They discovered through creating static electricity that the tissue paper snake lifted!

After harvesting several Zucchini from our garden the children participated in making zucchini muffins to enjoy on Tuesday. We were also able to harvest a few pea pods for the class to observe and a couple ripe tomatoes as well.

Inside the classroom, the children continued pretend playing in our rainforest, forest and desert centers. This week the children added some paper towel roll snakes that they created during an art project for our centers as props they can pretend with.

Enjoy the Weekend!
