Hello Birch families,

This week during small circle, the class listened along to the books Brave Little Owl, Good People Everywhere and Caps for Sale. The class also sang along to “I’m a little teapot” and “Five little monkeys”.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the Birch class danced with scarves, listened to different bug sounds, practiced strumming the stings of her guitar and practiced imitating “Baa Baa’ sounds into the microphone.

This week, the toddler wing had a special visit from the Butterfly Pavilion! The children observed Madagascar hissing cockroaches, crickets and “Rosie” the Chilean rose tarantula!

This week, practical life skills came in the form of cooking skills. The class helped mix, measure and knead dough to create homemade playdough.

 

Next week we will continue our learning of cooking skills as well as sorting and colors!
