July 28

Good afternoon Cedar families,

This week Dogwood and Cedar learned about colors!

During small circle the children sang: “Slippery Fish”, “The More We Get Together”, and “I’m a Dirty Dinosaur”

As a group we read: Colors, Colors, Everywhere, Llama Llama Red Pajama, and The Bear Went Over the Mountain

The children worked on their large motor skills when they kicked balls, and threw and caught bean bags.

Practical life skills were used when: the children practiced asking for turns with toys.

During art, the children made: butterflies by painting on folded pieces of paper; and tree roots with white paint on brown paper.

The children explored with: homemade goop and play-dough!

During music with Ms. Kathleen the children enjoyed listening to insect noises, playing jingle bells, and dancing with scarves.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Ursula this week!
