Hello Evergreen Families,
This week has been full of more conversations about the weather and Fall. Always an exciting topic this time of year! We read Picking Apples and Pumpkins, Fall Harvest Bringing in Food and Leaf Man which led to great conversations. Children shared ideas of what apples can be used for in other foods such as apple pie and applesauce. Later in the week we opened apples to look at all the parts an apple has and we counted the seeds.
While we continue to make a “plan” each morning for play the students are becoming more interested in writing. This week we practiced writing the letter “a” while learning its name and the sound it makes. “a” as in apple.
You may also hear your child talk about a drone! We were able to see one as it flew around the school looking at the roof of the school. They described the noise it made to be like a swarm of bees and they got really excited while watching it fly up and down.
Enjoy the weekend and thanks for a great week!
