Good afternoon Birch families!
This week, the Birch class turned their attention to stone soup. During small circle, the Birch class listened along to books such as, Some Friends To Feed, Carrots, One Family, and Thankful. The children enjoyed eating their yummy Stone Soup on Wednesday!
During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children played the bells, we sang along with the book Over The River And Through The Woods and the Birch class learned how to gallop with the scarves!
Our practical life skills continued to grow by washing veggies and the kitchen toys, and pouring water back and forth in the sensory table trying not to spill!
While working on our large motor skills, the children got to hop on our stepping stones, crawl through our rainbow tunnel, and chase bubbles outside! Some of our sensory activities included stamping “soup” into our “bowls”, painting stars with purple and silver, coloring with crayons, exploring with playdough, and using spray bottles with water colors!
Next week, we will be talking about Thanksgiving!
Have a wonderful weekend! Ms. Sarah and Ms. Mariah
