Hello Birch Families!

This week, the Birch class turned their attention to Celebrations around the World.  During small circle, the children listened to books, such as The Giving Tree, The Puppy Who Wanted A Boy, A Present For Mouse, While Bear Sleeps, and Spot’s First Christmas.

In music, with Ms. Kathleen, we sang Christmas songs, danced to holiday music and sang to a few Christmas books!

For our practical life skills, we practiced hanging the dress up clothes on the hooks, we sorted dishes and food in the kitchen area, and we practiced sorting crayons and markers by color.

To enhance our large motor skills, the Birch class danced to “Animal Actions”, we practiced yoga using our yoga cards, and we danced to the freeze dance!

Next week, we will be talking about winter and the animals that thrive in the cold!
