Dear River Families,

We hope you enjoy the gifts from you child! They worked for the last few weeks to write, revise and publish their books for you. We had a lovely school-wide event here called the “Nine Gifts of Treehouse” where each classroom presents a gift to another class.  The River room usually starts this off with Ms. Patti giving our class a gift – we received a human body skeleton model.  We then presented a gift to the toddler room – Dogwood.  It was so much fun and every room enjoyed their present. 

We worked this week on new sight words, writing numbers and introduced digraphs. We learned a digraph chant for ch, sh, qu, ph, th, and wh. We came up with a ton of words that have these sounds at the beginning or end of words! We started a new unit on patterns in Math and learned a new song on the metallaphones.

Treehouse is closed 12/22- 12/26 and 1/1.  Our Kindergarten Academic break is 12/27-1/5.  We will not have any shares until 1/9. I will send out the rest of the year’s share descriptions and schedules in the new year.
