Hello Cedar families,

This week Dogwood and Cedar continued to learn about Celebrations around the World.

During small circle, the children sang “Jingle Bells”, “Make New Friends” and “Frosty the Snowman”

The children read: My Snowman Book, Llama Llama Holiday Drama, and The Itsy Bitsy Snowman.

The children worked on their large motor skills by jumping with two feet, pushing boxes, and playing “Ring Around the Rosie”.

Practical life skills were used when the children practiced matching mittens, flipping jackets on and pouring water.

During art, this week the children made wrapping paper and tissue paper collages, used glue sticks to make snowmen, and painted evergreen trees.

The children explored with wrapping and tissue paper.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children read The Magnificent Toy, played jingle bells and danced with scarves.
