Good afternoon Birch families!

This week, the Birch class turned their attention to winter mammals.  During small circle, the children listened to the books, Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear, Animals In Winter, Bruce The Moose And Bo.  The children also practiced coloring with crayons and using spray bottles with colored water to make spray paint art pictures.

During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children practiced their “Ba Ba’s” in the microphone, we danced with scarves, and sang with bells and shaker eggs!

Practical life skills continued to grow as the children practiced cleaning up work materials when finished using them, practicing hanging up jackets on the cubby hooks, and cleaning their own face after lunch.

Birch class continued to enhance their large motor skills by rolling and kicking balls back and forth to friends, balancing on the wooden beams in the Birch playground, practicing jumping with both feet in place, and learning to catch a ball with both hands.

Next week we will continue talking about winter animals.
