Dear Cedar families,

This week Dogwood and Cedar talked about colors!  During small circle, the children sang “The Ants Go Marching”, “Five Speckled Frogs”, “Red Light, Green Light” and “Twinkle Twinkle Traffic Light”. And during story time the children listened to Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, Over the Rainbow, Colors Colors Everywhere, and Yellow and Orange.

The children worked on their large motor skills by crawling through the rainbow tunnel, doing yoga and playing red light green light.  We strengthened small motor muscles when were were washing tables, hanging up coats after outside time, and practicing putting our gloves on.

During art, we painted with rainbow colors and also painted using grey color in white paper using a small brush.  The children also explored with tossing colorful beans bag and color mixing.
