This Week’s Focus – Love and kindness

We had fantastic week of discussions about love and kindness in celebration of Valentines day. We discussed ways of showing love and kindness by:

• Using kind words.
• Making something special as a gift.  Making special valentine cards was a popular favorite this week!
• Doing an act of kindness by being a helper to a friend or loved one in need.
• Offering a hug or high five to someone you care about.
• Spending quality time with someone your care about, like snuggling up with books, family movie nights or an adventure outing outdoors.

Tools of the Mind / Dramatic Play

We said goodbye to our fire station and have started preparations for our new center of transportation, the boat, to be introduced next week. The children had fun painting and making colorful fish as background.

Geography

Introduction of the 50 United States, as well as our neighbors to the North, Canada, and our neighbor to the South, Mexico. We will dive into our beautiful state of Colorado next week!

Specials

A big thank you to our professional musicians that visited tree house this week. The children had a mini recital and participated in playing a few of the instruments like the violin and cello.
