Spanish Update March, 2018
We got started with “Transportacion” Transportation. Most of the words are similar to the English words. Remember to always pronounce the vowels in Spanish “A, E, I, O, U”.
El carro the car el avion the plane
El tren the train la bicicleta the bicycle
El barco the ship la motocicleta the motorcycle
El autobus the bus el ferrocarril the railroad
El camion the truck la camioneta the pickup truck
El bote the boat la canoa the canoe
Then we will learn vocabulary about places to go:
Where are you going? “Adonde Vas?”
A la playa to the beach al parque to the park
A la piscina to the pool al zoologico to the zoo
Al cine to the movies al supermercado to the supermarket
A la escuela to the school al restaurante to the restaurant
A la ciudad to the city al campo to the country
Al correo to the post office a la oficina to the office
Al banco to the bank al aeropueto to the airporto
De colores, de colores se visten los campos en la primavera.
De colores, de colores son los pajaritos que vienen de afuera.
De colores, de colores es el arco iris que vemos lucir.
Y por eso los grandes amores de muchos colores me gustan a mi.

Of colors, of colors is the rainbow we see shine.
And that’s why the big loves of many colors I like.
