Hello Evergreen Families,
Summer program has begun and the students are very enthusiastic about all the new works to choose from. Each morning we go outside to explore water tables, build with tubes and connectors, and many other activities. The students are calling this “summer camp” and enjoying the extra time outside. We were able to go on another nature walk and came upon a caterpillar laying eggs on a leaf, very interesting to see! Finally, we wrapped up the week with a petting zoo visit. The students asked questions, fed and petted a donkey, pig, goat, rabbit, and rooster. This entire month we will discuss different types of animal captivity facilities such as zoos, aquariums, and sanctuaries. We came upon this topic after talking about the petting zoo. The students began asking questions about whales and where they go so people can see them, as well as a place for wild birds.
Thanks for a great week!
Ms. Kristine, Ms. Kristin, Ms. Riann, and Ms. Lauren
