Hello Garden and Mountain families,
This week was an exciting first week of our summer program! Ms. Kathleen came to visit us for music class every day except Friday! This will be our new music schedule for the summer. During her visits, the children played with drums and scarves. They also listened to songs about summer.
The petting zoo visited on Thursday. All the children had the opportunity to see and touch ponies, goats, roosters, pigs, and bunnies! They enjoyed seeing these different animals up close and feeling their different furs and feathers.
During circle, the children listened to the books Going to the Zoo and Touch and Feel Wild Animals. We also sang “The Ants Go Marching” and “Old MacDonald.”
On Friday, Treehouse had a visit from singer/storyteller Ms. Beth Epley. During this visit Ms. Beth told a story about lava and a Rudyard Kipling story about how elephants got their long trunks. The older children enjoyed listening to Ms. Beth’s stories and watching the other classes dance to her songs in the big room.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Theresa, Ms. Lisa, and Ms. Aubrieana
